Cystic Fibrosis: Adding Tomorrows

I’ll bet you didn’t know that 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene. Cystic fibrosis is a tragic genetic disease affecting the lungs and digestive system – and it’s taken a brutal toll on countless families over the years.

In 2010 I, along with a number of other young people who anyone would be proud to be associated with, was recognized for my efforts in helping to raise money in fighting this devastating disease – Cystic Fibrosis. That was a true honor.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation started in 1955, back when most children with it did not live long enough to reach elementary school. Today, the median predicted age of survival for a person with CF is in the mid-30s – so there’s no shortage of hope for continued improvement.
